The Insurance Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing superior customer service and support to health insurance policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders. This role involves handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring that all interactions reflect our commitment to excellent customer care. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a thorough understanding of insurance products and processes, and a passion for helping customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to health insurance customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist health insurance policyholders with questions about coverage, claims, billing, and policy changes.
- Provide accurate information and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Guide customers through the claims process, providing information on required documentation and timelines.
- Coordinate with the claims department to expedite the resolution of claims and provide updates to customers.
- Assist customers with policy renewals, modifications, and cancellations.
- Ensure all policy changes are accurately documented and processed in a timely manner.
- Serve as a liaison between health insurance agents and the company, providing support and information as needed.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between health agents and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, inquiries, and resolutions.
- Prepare reports on customer service activities and trends to help improve service quality.
- Identify and escalate complex issues to the appropriate departments for resolution.
- Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are resolved satisfactorily.
- Stay up-to-date with company products, services, and policies.
- Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and customer service skills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4-40 FL Customer Representative License (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a health insurance customer service role, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, policies, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customer service software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay: $21.63 - $24.03 per hour
