Position Overview
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for helping maintain the inventory of products in the warehouse. This position will prepare, receive, organize, and distribute products necessary for the field staff to complete their daily tasks. This will include updating and maintaining company systems, creating and completing work orders, and assisting the department with special assignments. The position may also be called to work in the capacity of the Field Service Technician when necessary. An ideal candidate is a focused, detail-oriented person with a will to learn the industry, thrives on new challenges and easily adjusts to unexpected changes.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain, organize, and issue inventory of approved stock items, equipment, meters, and consumables to Field Staff and document changes in inventory by ensuring that the necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Sweep and clean warehouse area to ensure walkways are clean and free of debris
- Demonstrate excellent time management, organizational skills, communication skills, and a sense of urgency to expedite getting the field staff out for the jobs quickly and efficiently
- Create and complete work orders in internal management system
- Deliver and pick up materials as needed
- Complete special projects for departmental management
- Follow instructions precisely and proactively communicate with Field Service Management and Coordinators
- Provide departmental support in filing, scanning, recordkeeping, and organizing information applicable to the warehouse
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate personal accountability through the effective use of resources in daily procedures, processes, and practices
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School or GED is required, and some college experience would be helpful
- Two or more years’ experience in warehouse maintenance or industry related role
- Industry experience in service, construction, and maintenance would be helpful
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and Safety Data Sheets application
- Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per Company vehicle policy
- Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
- Basic computer and/or tablet/iPad experience
- Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities dealing with issues in a proactive manner recognizing client service is the priority
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to analyze data and prepare clear and concise records, reports, and correspondence
- Ability to learn and effectively navigate processes using the software used in the various departments.
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized and be detail oriented while working to successfully meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Exercise sound judgment when evaluating courses of actions
· Must be able to interact with management, vendors, and field staff members easily and professionally
Work Conditions
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some overtime is required and must be able to work and assist as needed when we are faced with an emergency situation such as an authorized closing for hurricanes, ice storm, etc.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, talk and hear.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
