The interventionist will work with K-2 students to focus on all five of the main components of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. The interventionist will design reading interventions and will write lesson plans detailing methods and materials for one-on-one and small groups of students, and will adjust instruction if assessments do not indicate progress. Communication skills and a strong background in reading instruction are a must. The interventionist will be held accountable for student mastery of targeted skills and evidence of data tracking for each student.
This will be for a certified teacher.
