Overview:
We are seeking dynamic, dedicated piano instructors to join our faculty at Charlotte Academy of Music. If you have a passion for music education and are a skilled vocalist with teaching experience, we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities:
- Provide piano lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students, inspiring a love for music.
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and goals.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Regularly communicate with each student's parents/guardians regarding progress and goals.
- If proficient in other instruments, offer lessons in those areas.
- CAM faculty members have the opportunity to participate in other teaching opportunities such as workshops, master classes, and summer camps throughout the year.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field, or equivalent experience in teaching.
- Proficiency in piano instruction with a strong understanding of music theory and how to prepare students for concerts and auditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
A minimum daily teaching schedule of at least 4 afterschool hours and a commitment of at least 12 months is required. Many of our instructors teach 5+ hours several days per week. This position is flexible, allowing for 1-3 teaching days depending on the instructor's availability.

A phone interview will be arranged with qualified candidates, followed by an in-person interview with the owner.
