Job Summary
The Medicaid Coordinator is responsible for Medicaid billing tasks including tier authorizations, claims/837 submissions, terminations, transfers, troubleshooting, data entry and maintenance, report generation & analysis, roster updates and is the liaison with King County.
The Coordinator is cross-trained within the department and acts as a floater to assist in coverage as needed. This position works with multiple teams within the agency and requires clear communication and a professional demeanor at all times. The nature of this position requires a high level of attention to detail, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, capacity to manage multiple projects, frequently changing priorities, short deadlines and use of multiple computer programs.
Primary Job Functions
- Responsible for Medicaid billing tasks
- Authorization Submissions and approvals
- Termination Submissions
- Transfer Submissions
- Claim / 837 Submissions
- Process and respond to rejections/errors
- Identify and resolve applicable data issues in EHR
- Missing guarantors
- Guarantors errors
- Medicaid Authorization errors
- Monthly Medicaid eligibility reports
- Generate and analyze Medicaid revenue reports
- Generate and analyze Medicaid troubleshooting reports
- Communicate with clients, parents and staff regarding Medicaid matters
- Provide Medicaid paperwork/process training/technical assistance to staff
- Enrollment and roster updates (King County & Provider One)
- Act as the liaison with King County and MCO’s
- Upload required reports/documentation to King County
· Provide back-up coverage (front desk, scheduling and billing) as needed
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Proficient computer skills
· Prior Billing/Accounting experience
· Degree preferred
· Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred

Physical Requirement:
