Kidney Specialists of Southern Nevada (KSOSN) provides comprehensive kidney care and a full spectrum of kidney disease management resources for residents of Southern Nevada. Our care team educates and empowers patients who are living with kidney pain, infections, stones, and other kidney problems. With this exciting opportunity you will be joining a seasoned team of 50 Physicians and Advanced Practitioners, as well as 70+ team members across eight office locations. We are looking for a dynamic Patient Services Representative to join our growing team.
This position will work a 9/4 schedule. Work schedule will be Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 5pm OR 8am to 5:30pm and Friday 8am to 12 noon.
Position Summary
The Patient Services Representative is a position that supports the Patient Services Call Center completing various administrative tasks and interacting with out 3rd party vendor.
Essential Job Functions:
- Makes inbound and outbound calls for scheduling new patients, hospital follow-ups and new referrals.
- Answer all incoming calls from patients, teammates, and providers.
- Manage Tavoca work list; ensure calling and rescheduling patients that cancelled through automated system
- Search, verify and create patient charts with required patient information
- Verify patient insurance and coverage; verify patient’s required information when scheduling all appointments
- Send out any new patient paperwork needed through FormDR
- Educate and enroll patients for MyChart
- Manage, schedule and/or document all Patient Services trackers and work queues.
- Page KSOSN providers when needed
- Fax patient office notes to PCP and referring MD offices
- Review, sort and distribute incoming faxes to the correct team
- Manages personal metrics ensuring they are meeting or exceeding the team average on a consistent basis
- Follows all HIPAA practices
- Follows all KSOSN policies and procedures
- Complete daily assignments that are assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Must receive the flu shot annually.
- Minimum two (2) years of medical front office or customer service experience required.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook required.
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Prior experience with high volume phones highly preferred.
