Wessex is currently seeking a Senior Executive Assistant who performs general and specialized office work and assists senior leadership, with administrative and secretarial responsibilities. This position is in Charleston, SC and requires the candidate to be on site in the office. Some travel is required.
Duties are broad, varied and often of a complex and confidential nature. Independent judgment, initiative and decision-making abilities are required. The executive assistant is able to anticipate needs and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision or direction.
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
- Prepare and edit documents, including correspondence, presentations, reports, legal documents, meeting materials, and other written communications.
- Manage administrative tasks for C-Suite executives, including travel arrangements, expense reports, timesheet preparation and e-mail distribution lists.
- Schedule meetings including coordinating with internal and external participants, distributing meeting materials, and handling meeting logistics.
- Act as liaison between C Suite executives and various individuals inside and outside the companies. Maintain calendar of meetings and appointments.
- Support executives as requested, including assistance with scheduling and supervising other employees and vendors.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field. Accounting knowledge/experience beneficial.
- Minimum of 5 years supporting high level individuals.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail; ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with high level of integrity, using discretion with sensitive and/or confidential information.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment to meet critical deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and other software required.
