Would you like to be a valuable member of a diversity driven, mission-minded team that impacts our community? · You work with a great team of co-workers with lots of support and clinical supervision
· You have flexibility with your schedule to make life work for you and your clients
· You have generous PTO and benefits.
· This position qualifies for the National Health Service Corp Student Loan Repayment Program for up to $50,000 for your first contract with them.
· Bonus pay based on tenure and productivity.
What You Will Be Doing
Multisystemic Therapy is an evidence-based, short-term clinical model that works with families of 10- to 17-year-old youth who have been referred for behavioral, sexual, or emotional concerns by the juvenile justice, mental health, school, or child welfare systems. Over the course of 3-6 months, MST clinicians work with parents/caregivers and youth multiple times a week, mostly in their home, using solution-focused interventions with the goal of bringing together and equipping key players in the youth’s network to increase prosocial behavior, stability, and mental wellness.
Responsibilities include:
· Provide therapeutic services to youth and families in their community or home setting, using MST principles/interventions
· Maintain a caseload of 5-6 clients
· Conduct clinical assessments and gather relevant data to measure progress
· Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
· Maintain positive professional relationships with referral sources, colleagues, and community resources
A portion of your caseload may also be an adaptation of MST. The PSB adaptation of MST is for youth with Problem Sexual Behaviors (MST/PSB). MST/PSB has been proven effective at decreasing problem sexual behaviors, other antisocial behaviors, and out-of-home placements.
You will provide confidential culturally responsive mental health and substance abuse therapy. You will demonstrate passion and cultural competence working with racially marginalized families, diverse communities, and LGBTQ youth. In this position, you will develop and document clear clinical formulations and treatment plans that are individualized and measurable, developed in collaboration with the client/family and others involved on the care team. You must maintain high accessibility to clients and commit to a non-traditional, but flexible schedule that is based on families' availability. Additionally, you may be a part of a rotation of on-call shifts and be available after hours.
What We Require
· MST Therapist requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
· A valid Missouri Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
· Experience in a clinical setting working with youth.
You will have knowledge of the DSM-V, co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, culturally responsive interventions, and evidence-based and promising practice interventions. You will be familiar with psychotropic medications and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing work environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptive to changes in policies and procedures, assist in meeting outcome measures and provide excellent clinical service to consumers.
