We are looking for a friendly Front Desk Coordinator with a positive attitude to help our front desk staff Tuesday - Saturday at our Carroll Gardens (Brooklyn) location- (two blocks from the F & G subway line). Open to creating a different 4 day work week + Saturday schedule if needed.
You will help perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks on a daily basis. You will be the first point of contact for our company and your duties will include offering administrative support across the offices. Not only will you welcome guests and greet people who visit the practice but also help with scheduling future treatment/recare visits. This includes scheduling for both hygiene and the doctor's work days in an organized/time efficient manner. You will coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
To be successful as our Front Desk Coordinator you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. Multitasking and time management skills are essential for this position. Ultimately, your duties and responsibilities are to execute all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Take phone calls from patients about insurance and finance
Enter new insurance information in computer and call for verification and benefit information
Explain treatment plans to patients
Assist patients in making financial arrangements or payment schedule
Request and collect payment for each checked out patient, and issue receipts or walk out statements, as appropriate, as patient leaves
See that each transaction is posted to the computer system accurately
Prepare financial copay list for treatment plans prior to consults/tx plan presentations
Monitor and edit any communication going to patients regarding upcoming appointments to ensure the information is correct and timely
Utilize all communication resources available to connect with patients to get them scheduled for treatment needed
Skills
Proven work experience as a Scheduling Coordinator or office manager
