Outside Technical Sales Representative Job Description:
PCI is hiring full-time enthusiastic and driven Outside Technical Sales representatives that live their life being unimpeachable in transparency, honesty, and integrity!
Proactive and competitive in nature; have an exceptional work ethic and elevated level of ambition, as well as continually demonstrate exceptional and effective technical, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills in the articulation of complex technical information and the abilities and benefits that PCI delivers to its customers.
Collaborate with PCI Team members and vendors to develop strategies and create and present persuasive sales proposals meeting the customers’ needs and facilitating new sales and repeat business.
Ascertain customer needs and requirements, recommending appropriate PCI products and abilities, then clearly demonstrate their benefit to the customer and how PCI can be a solution for the customer.
Outside Technical Sales Representative Requirements:
- Proven Technical Sales experience and a strong industry knowledge.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent consultative sales and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of structural and electrical systems used in custom Modular Metal Industrial Building manufacturing and associated installed equipment, including Switchgear, Motor Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, HVAC, Electrical Utilities, etc...
- Meticulous, thorough, and transparent in all activities.
- This role requires a balance of time in the office and fieldwork. Some travel may be required for client meetings and presentations.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Knowledge in AutoCAD
Outside Technical Sales Representative Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers based within an assigned sales territory.
- Traveling within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers.
- Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive monthly sales plan and forecasts for the assigned territory to service and expand business with existing and new customers.
- Collaborate with other PCI team members, operations, and administrative staff to provide effective customer solutions.
- Continually meet or exceed sales targets by selling company products to new and existing customers.
- Maintain an accurate record of all leads, sales activities, budgets and expenses, calls, current project status, customer accounts, forecasts, and sales.
- Collaborating with the marketing department to expand brand presence through the creation of suitable marketing materials.
- Gather competitors' products and pricing information as well as market conditions and report this to management.
- Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events.
- Strategically negotiating with potential and existing customers to close sales.
· Receive/download RFQ documentation and prepare/organize it for handoff to Estimating.
· Understanding, interpreting, and documenting client requests and providing detailed instructions to TEAM PCI.
· Perform internal review of Bid Estimates prior to issue.
· Mediate between TEAM PCI and the customer, to resolve any questions or customer complaints.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
