Pay range: $20 - $21/hr, Non-Exempt, Hourly
Organization Overview
InterConnection aims to bridge the digital divide in the Pacific Northwest by providing affordable computers through sustainable e-waste recycling, refurbishment, and reuse. Last year, we collected, refurbished and distributed over 3,000 laptops and desktops and diverted over 700,000 pounds of e-waste from landfills through our recycling partnerships.

Description
The Warehouse Associate is an essential member of the production workflow at InterConnection where we process over half a million pounds of e-waste a year.
The primary responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate are to safely sort and organize inbound donations of electronics, package and ship laptops and devices, and assist in maintaining our warehouse in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. This team member’s attention to detail, systems maintenance, and communication skills are critical to long-term relationships with donors and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Donation Intake
- Manage receiving, counting, and sorting of electronic donations. Donations are delivered via InterConnection’s truck, drop-offs by corporate donors or junk haulers, and via the community drop box stationed at warehouse dock
- Sort and document donated materials for refurbishment or recycling services
- Generate and apply asset tags to relevant devices for use during Discovery
- Utilize Inventory Management Software to capture accurate counts of donated items to share back in donor reports
- Monitor and maintain community donation box, including greeting donors and providing excellent customer service to donors dropping off items at the warehouse dock
- Communicate with the Programs and Partnerships Coordinator on expected donations (timeline and estimated materials and quantity)
- Work with Programs and Partnerships Coordinator to gather client requirements for sort process reporting, as well as supporting resolution of questions and concerns about non-standard donations
Warehouse Organization & Maintenance
- Lift, load, off-load & stage donated devices and materials
- Perform off-loading activities via utilization of manual pallet jack, electric pallet jacks, and manual off-loading; Electric Pallet Jack or Forklift training is not required
- Perform warehouse organization and system maintenance;
- Receive incoming mail and deliveries to the warehouse dock
Outbound Shipment Processing
- Prepare and load pallets for freight transport
- Prepare and coordinate recycling pickups for off site recycling programs, including labeling materials, documenting shipments in our inventory management system, and loading truck via forklift
- Pick, pack and ship outbound shipping of packages to customers
Required Skills and Abilities

- Current forklift license and experience with a pallet jack desired, but not required (on-site training provided)
- Familiarity with warehousing practices and methods desired, but not required (on-site training provided)
- Drivers license with a clean driving record is desired
Additional Requirements
- All employees must complete a criminal background check and complete I-9 verification upon hire
- No felony convictions in the last seven years for a crime involving theft, fraud, burglary or larceny due to access to confidential client information.
Compensation: $20 - $21 hourly
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position, working in a warehouse environment, with a consistent daytime work schedule.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Full time, 40 hours per week; with typical office hours (M-F, 9am - 5pm or shifted to accommodate schedules with 10am - 3pm as core working hours). Occasional weekend work to support donation events.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications:
Must be authorized to work in the US.
