Treatment Plan Coordinator
Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday - 40 hours per week
Summary
Responsible for greeting and scheduling patients, collecting co-payments, presenting treatment plans, working to ensure schedules meet production goals, and developing reports on production goals. The Treatment Plan Coordinator serves as an advocate and educator in creating treatment plans for dental care.
Essential Responsibilities
- Answers incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette and responds to telephone inquiries from potential patients.
- Assists the patient in prioritizing the treatment and establishing a plan for scheduling and payment for dental services.
- Case presentation and acceptance including chair-side treatment planning.
- Friendly, professional, organized, work with a sense of urgency, and able to manage multiple tasks throughout the day.
- Conducts treatment plan consultations with new and existing patients to address patient concerns and answer questions regarding dental treatment plans.
- Cross-trained to do treatment estimates.
- Greets and checks in patients in a professional and timely manner.
- Schedules, reschedules, and confirms new patient appointments, promoting flexibility and care regarding appointment opportunities to patients seeking care and working to maintain full schedules and maintain office schedule flow.
- Ensures accurate communication with patients and team members.
- Presents financial policies and arrangements to patients collect co-payments and verify insurance coverage as appropriate.
- Prepares new patient charts.
- Facilitates effective patient flow using the proper callback system.
- Expected to work all scheduled work days, during scheduled hours and report to work on time.
- Reviews and monitors outstanding treatment plans
- Provides ‘Comfort Calls’ to patients post-procedure.

- Supports NADG Care Cycle and will prioritize ‘best-in-class’ care to patients.

- Proficient in MS Office Suite

Education/Training
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical/Environmental
- Sitting for long periods, completing tasks using a computer and other office equipment.
- Position requires frequent talking, hearing, and vision with moderate standing, walking, and reaching.
- General clinical environment with frequent exposure to chemicals, blood-borne pathogens, patient body fluids and/or tissue, and physical hazards such as needle sticks.
- Job position responsibilities are generally performed in a business office environment with computers, printers, and phones.
- Extensive computer usage.
- The individual demonstrates the ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- The individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Position requires frequent talking, hearing, and vision with moderate walking and reaching.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
