Reopening New Location in West Village, New York
The West Village location is the second Ramen Danbo restaurant in New York.
Ramen Danbo brings traditional Fukuoka style Kyusyu Hakata Tonkotsu ramen to Japanese food fans in New York. The aroma of our signature Tonkotsu broth is unmistakable – a simple but truly delicious umami, always made daily in-house.
We are currently looking for a qualified Cook who loves Japan, Japanese cultures and/or Japanese food to join us.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and make Hakata style Tonkotsu broth before restaurant open
- Prepare individual ramen noodles and cook other Japanese side dishes
- Handle and control daily food quality
- Control ingredient freshness and follow the food safety standard
- Open and closing duties
- Inspect kitchen safety daily and prevent risk from fire, accident, etc.
Requirements:
- One year or more of working experience as a cook is preferred
- Ability to work as a team in a fast paced and high-pressured environment
- Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to spend all the time standing and walking through shift
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $18.00 / hour ~
※ Probation Period: Minimum wage $15.00
※ Competitive hourly wage depending on experience
