Maintenance Technician
Maintenance is a key part of our business. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. A Maintenance technician responsibility include preventive maintenance, machine repair and daily support functions. Successful candidates will have strong troubleshooting experience in majors manufacturing equipment and plays a crucial role in overseeing facility operations, ensuring efficient performance of building structures. They implement new ideas to reduce energy costs and maintain equipment with extensive knowledge of operation and maintenance procedures.
What You Will Do:
Track and report on metrics for schedule attainment, machine downtime and WPO. Provides expertise for manufacturing equipment repair and maintenance.
Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains the various production machines including punch presses, buffing, and grinding machines, laser marking equipment, automated assembly equipment, packaging equipment, CNC lathes/mills, and related equipment.
Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains facility support systems including air compressors, chillers, heating and ventilating units, lighting systems, office equipment, security systems, and related building equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance on production and building equipment as required by the Preventive Maintenance Program.
Identifies, develops, and implements upgrades and improvements in equipment and systems to improve their reliability and maintainability.
Works with outside vendors/contractors for maintenance, repair, replacement and testing of equipment and systems, in collaboration with Maintenance Manager.
Maintains and updates energy control plans.
Works and coordinates effectively with all employees (internal customers), including Engineering, Purchasing, and Production.
Two years vocational education in automation/manufacturing technology
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment maintaining automation equipment.
Working knowledge of electrical power circuits; electrical and electronic machine control circuits
Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems for equipment control and operation
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Must have advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and a thorough knowledge of and use of power equipment. Shall possess a good electrical and mechanical aptitude, with knowledge in the operation of automated manufacturing equipment and electronic control systems.
Able to work with all fixed and portable equipment normally used in maintenance operations, including drill press, band saw, grinder, pipe threader. Must be able to use various diagnostic equipment for electrical trouble shooting such as Fluke meter, circuit tracer, megger, etc.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
