The Ideal Company Inc. has a great position for a Traveling Facilities Maintenance Technician – Come Join Our Team!
The Ideal Company is a full-service general contractor in the Healthcare, Retail, and Hospitality industry. We are looking for a Traveling Facilities Maintenance Technician who would work on our healthcare service work team. Ideal is a primary maintenance contractor for some of the top nationwide Dialysis Clinics in the United States. We are looking for great team players that are passionate about a job well done for our clients. The “Ideal” candidate will possess a positive “yes I can” attitude and isn’t stopped by barriers, but rather sees them as opportunities to provide outstanding service.
This position will require open availability to travel to any of service areas. Currently we are servicing AL, GA, IL, IN, KY, NC, MO, OH, SC, TN, PA, VA, and WV. We have nearly an unlimited amount of work, so there is a lot of opportunity for growth in the future, in other states as well. We just need qualified, willing team players! =)
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Be able to assess the task that you have been given, build a list of supplies needed for repairs, and execute the work.
- Provide quality, clean work that sets the highest example for Dialysis Clinic maintenance that The Ideal Company is known for among our clients.
- Work with Sub Contractors that are hired for particular service work jobs.
- Facilitating successful operations by performing repairs and maintenance (HVAC, Masonry, Etc.)
- Plumbing maintenance included but not limited to (location of leaks, installing sinks, p-traps, set toilets, clearing clogs, replacing angle stops, replace appliances, Etc.)
- Electrical includes but is not limited to (diagnosing circuit issues, breaker replacement, outlet and switch replacements, light fixture replacements, Lighting, appliances, Etc.)
- Perform Carpentry work which includes but is not limited to (Door/doorjamb replacements, door knob/lock repairs, Cabinet replacement, cabinet doors, MDF trim work, Countertops, Formica, Window and Door replacement, Etc.) Ability to do sheetrock patch and repair, Mud, Texture and Full Paint.
- Good communication with Management in each location that is requesting repairs.
- Executing service work orders as given.
- Ensuring strict adherence to each Dialysis Clinics work place requirements.
- Arranging for and managing contracted repairs, maintenance and construction services.
- Perform all work in a timely manner which may necessitate a fluctuating work week, night work, and ability to travel to assignments on short notice.
- Train new team members in service work expectations and procedures.
Requirements:
- Ability to self-perform all tasks listed above (this is a hands-on position).
- Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
- Ability to perform and / or coordinate emergency building repairs.
- Experience working on electrical and plumbing projects.
- Working knowledge of construction-related repairs.
- Ability to travel in assigned region, as needed, often on short notice.
- Ability to work a fluctuating work week.
- Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
