Job Title: Medical Receptionist
Reports To: Front Desk Manager
Position: Full-time
General Description: We seek a Medical Receptionist who will work on a multidisciplinary team in a pediatric primary care setting. S/he will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical and support tasks for the practice including scheduling, registration and medical records. S/he should be comfortable using an Electronic Medical Record so that they can efficiently schedule and register patients. This candidate should be passionate about providing patient – centered care and should be willing to make quality improvements to best service their pediatric patients.
Summary of Duties:
Answer multiple phone lines which support physicians, nurse practitioner, nurses and behavioral health team.
Welcomes and greets patients to the practice in a manner that is helpful and friendly and directs patients appropriately. Assists with check out and scheduling future appointments.
Performs day – to – day administrative functions and general office duties, including but not limited to, copying, filing, faxing and scanning.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills as well as cultural sensitivity
Advanced phone skills so that s/he can effectively relate via phone and serve the needs of the practice’s patients
Experience with EHR (electronic health records) and an overall comfortability with computers and health – related software
Has experience with and is comfortable working on a team
Administrative or clerical experience preferably in a clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a medical care setting
Experience with the EMR system Epic preferably
High School diploma
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
