Job Summary
The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking an Administrative Services Assistant Senior to provide administrative support to the Philanthropy and Alumni staff, serving as the first point of contact to field requests and inquiries from alumni, donors, departments, and other units on campus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- supporting the Senior Director of Philanthropy and Associate Director of Alumni Engagement with alumni and donor events, including:
- the Hall of Fame volunteer board meetings
- scholarship luncheons
- UK Homecoming
- department alumni events
- College tailgates
- assist with annual fundraising efforts, including:
- One Day for UK, the University’s annual day of giving
- year-end solicitations
- College department solicitations
- assist the Philanthropy Stewardship Officer with ongoing stewardship efforts to ensure donors are thanked and receive timely reports on their giving
- serve as a liaison between the College Philanthropy Office and College Business Center to receive contributions and ensure they are deposited correctly
- provide other general administrative and clerical support to the Philanthropy staff
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate must have exceptional customer service, organizational and planning, attention to detail, and communication (both written and verbal) skills. We are seeking a collaborative individual with initiative, strong problem solving and critical thinking skills as well as a high respect for diversity and inclusion.
