Sharonview is looking for a Member Experience Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is optimistic, and is exceptional at customer service to join our team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Handling inbound calls from members, listening, and providing helpful solutions to resolve problems.
- Process a set of basic member financial transactions.
- Respond to routine member inquiries regarding the essential operation of accounts and access to services.
- Operate computer terminal to accurately post transactions, access account information, balance transactions, and update member account information.
- Maintain current knowledge of products and services, changes in regulations, and internal policies and procedures specifically related to their job.
- Maintain knowledge of and compliance with all BSA-related regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) preferred
- 1 year of customer service experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient with a variety of computer software applications, including MS Word and MS Outlook.
- Must have a service orientation - actively looking for ways to help people solve problems or meet financial objectives.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills in a variety of business circumstances.
- Ability to solve problems and collaboratively deal with a variety of complex relationship issues inherent in a service environment
- Demonstrate active listening: providing full attention during communication with persons, both internally and externally
- Ability to exercise discretion while managing confidential information
- Ability to work well with people and to create a self-motivating work environment. Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while able to give attention to details.
- Demonstrate complex problem-solving skills – identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. This requires creativity, resourcefulness, robust decision-making, and quick-thinking skills and abilities.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with all BSA-related regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Physical Demands
- Hybrid role, which requires reporting to the office as requested.
- Sedentary work, which primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Work requires the ability to speak and hear consistently.
- Communicate to exchange information via voice, email, teams, etc.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Heavy use of computers.
