Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef/Cooking Ninja to join our team. As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for food preparation, inventory control, and ensuring the smooth operation of service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional service in a food production and catering environment.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menu
- Ensure proper portion control and maintain high standards of food quality
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items
- Oversee food handling and storage procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Coordinate catering events, including menu planning, setup, and cleanup
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
Experience:
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and practices
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact with customers
- Full time availability, punctual and consistent reliable attendance.
