As a Stockroom Utility Operator, you will play a vital role in our inventory management and overall operations. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized and efficient stockroom, ensuring the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments of materials and supplies.
- Organize and maintain stockroom inventory, ensuring items are properly labeled and stored.
- Prepare and distribute materials to production areas as needed.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the coordination of stockroom layout and optimization.
- Maintain a clean and safe stockroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or inventory management role is preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification is a plus).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
