PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provides instruction to students with Emotional Disabilities, Autism, or other special needs in a setting where the emphasis is on communication and social skills, academic and functional skill instruction, and positive behavioral supports. Plans and implements daily-individualized instructional and behavioral intervention plans and effective curricula. Manages classroom setting by utilizing positive behavior supports, visual strategies and schedules, and instructional technology to create a structured environment which supports student success.

*QUALIFICATIONS:

**Bachelor or Master’s degree in Special Education
**Qualify for a Virginia Teaching License with endorsement in general curriculum or adapted curriculum
**Experience as a special education teacher is desired
**Experience working with students with Emotional Disabilities or Autism is desired
