As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the accurate and organized recording of information related to coins and other collectibles. Your repsonsiblities will invovle data entry, cataloging and maintainging a comprehensive database of rare and collectible coins.
This role aquires attention to detail and proficiency in data management software.
Key Responsiblities:
- Data Entry: Accuratley input information regaring rare coins into the database. Record details such as coin type, mint year, denomination, historical significance and any unique features.
- Cataloging: Organize and categorize coins based on various criteria, such as era, country of origin or collection type. Assign unique identifiers or codes to each coin for easy retrieval and tracking.
- Research: Conduct research on individual coins to gather historical context, rarity and other relevant information. Update the database with new findings and ensure that information remains current.
- Quality Control: Perform regular quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency within the database. Rectify any discrepencies or errors promptly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other numismatic experts, collectors and team members to enhance the database's comprehensiveness and accuracy.
- Maintenance: Regularly update the database to include new acquisitions or changes in the collection. Maintain the security and integrity of the database by implementing appropriate backup and security measures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years expereince, preferred
- Educaiton in numismatics or related fields a plus
- Strong knowledge and passion for collectibles
- Proficient in data entry and database management software
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizatinal and time-management skills
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members .
Working Conditions:
- Operates in the office, Monday to Friday - Occasinal weekends.
- Involves handling delicate and valuable coins with care
- Full-time pay: $20.00 to $25.00
- Expected hours: 40 hours per week
