Part-time Caregivers for Assisted Living and Independent Living responsibilities:
Assists all residents with any and all activities of daily living, including but not limited to:

Assist residents with bathing/showering, hair care, mouth care, nail care, dressing, continence care, etc.

Assist residents with ambulation, which includes reminding and supporting independence.

Assist and encourage residents to eat and take sufficient fluids and snacks, including feeding and cueing, as needed.

Assist residents with turning, repositioning, toileting and personal hygiene (including monitoring of bowel and bladder incontinence).
-
Administer prescribed and over the counter medications as ordered.
-
Documents medication administration according to policy and procedure.
-
Observe and report resident behavior and overall condition changes – including weight changes and any signs of incidents or accidents

Participate and or lead leisure activities based on spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual and social needs of individuals and group.

Assists and reminds elders/residents to participate in activities of interest.
-
Assist with all aspects of kitchen and dining room tasks associated with resident meals, including meal prep work, meal completion, serving, setting tables, cleaning up, taking out trash, etc.

Perform all housekeeping responsibilities and related duties including daily cleaning of resident bathrooms, weekly individualized room cleaning and weekly and/or as needed, personal laundry.

Interact with families and participate in activities of the home.

Actively participate in the plan of care for each resident and attend care conferences as planned.

Assist in ensuring a safe home environment for all residents, family members and other co-workers.

Accept and follow performance improvement plan and quality initiatives being measured in the home.

Accept and follow the mission and vision statements of the home.
-
Participate in data collection and performance improvement reporting processes, as directed.
-
Attend continuing education activities as needed to comply with state regulations.

Maintain high ethical standards.

Display a caring, respectful attitude when addressing and or assisting elders/residents, family members and co-workers.

Ensures confidentiality of resident health information in accordance to HIPAA.

Compliant with attendance policy. Attend and participate in regular scheduled staff meetings
EDUCATION:
Minimum of high school diploma. A year of geriatric experience preferred.
