About the Position
Looking to stake your claim on a fast-paced Legal Team? The Insurance & Legal Coordinator will play a key role in Power Design’s overall success by managing risk and protecting our business! We’re looking for a legal support pro to coordinate the Controlled Insurance Program (CIP) enrollment process, conduct audits, and manage claims.
Position Responsibilities

Serve as the primary contact for all CIP-related inquiries and insurance claims and provide regular claim updates to senior leaders

Guide Power Design and our subcontractors through the CIP enrollment process by gathering information and reviewing applications

Collaborate with legal counsel on claims to secure the optimal outcome for the company

Request and review certificates of insurance from contractors and vendors to confirm compliance and maintain records, as well as follow up to ensure timely receipt

Conduct periodic audits to verify compliance

Review payroll data and other information to confirm accurate reporting

Expertly handle insurance claims related to operational events, work with stakeholders to address discrepancies, and coordinate with insurance carriers and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely resolution of claims

Help maintain a calendar of response deadlines, insurance requirements, payment dates, inspection dates, and lien deadlines

Prepare letters, responses, insurance claim notices, bond requests, and other correspondence

Perform background research, review invoices, submit payment, and work with claimants' attorneys and property management to conduct inspections

Correspond with and gather information for outside counsel as needed
Here’s What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience in the insurance or risk management field, preferably in the construction industry

1-2 years of experience providing administrative support in a legal environment

Exceptional understanding of insurance policies, claims processes, and compliance requirements

Excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple projects, and flexibility amid priority changes

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Extreme professionalism regarding confidential information
