**Job Summary:**
As a Facilities Technician/Supervisor at AuST Manufacturing, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our facilities and leading a team of maintenance personnel. You will work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our physical spaces, contributing to a safe, productive, and aesthetically pleasing environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Facilities Maintenance Oversight:**
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance.
- Manage external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
2. **Team Leadership:**
- Lead and mentor a team of facilities maintenance technicians.
- Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and ensure a productive and safe work environment.
- Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
3. **Facilities Management:**
- Monitor and maintain the overall cleanliness, order, and security of facilities.
- Oversee the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment for maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to develop and manage the facilities budget.
4. **Emergency Response:**
- Be on-call for emergency maintenance situations and coordinate the team's response.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during emergency procedures.
5. **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventories.
- Generate reports on maintenance performance and present findings to the Facilities Manager.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in facilities management or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and MS Office Suite.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
- Availability for occasional evening, weekend, or on-call work as needed.
