YOUR ROLE
As a Customer Service Representative, you will work in the warehouse intercepting, processing, and keying orders into our system. As the primary contact for our internal departments and external customers, you must have an outgoing, professional demeanor, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a passion for quickly solving problems with satisfactory solutions. Your typical schedule will be Monday - Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery cancellations requested by the customer
- Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered
- Provide delivery packing lists, BOL and POD requests
- Handle tracking number requests
- Confer with various departments and carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments; compile statistics and prepare various reports
- Compile statistics and prepare reports for management
- Provide status checks
- Upgrade the shipping method of transportation
- Provide back up support for all accounts other than primary
- Other duties as assigned
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- 2+ years of full-time customer service experience in a warehousing or distribution environment
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Manhattan or any Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Strong ability to quantify results and create accurate reporting
- English fluency (written and verbal)
