Behavioral Health Manager
SPECIFIC DUTIES/ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Observe, listen, oversee, and report to mental health professionals any concerns regarding client unusual behaviors.
- Assist with medication management when/if needed under the direction of medical personnel.
- Provide knowledge of rehabilitation processes that promote independent living skills. Able to facilitate IOP sessions.
- Assist with daily activities to increase client understanding of financial, education, and social experiences.
- Monitors patient behavior changes and assists with client positive rehabilitation.
- Ensure confidentiality and secure maintenance of client legal documents.
- Demonstrate ability to support client emotional, behavior, and physical needs in an appropriate and professional manner.
- Comprehend and support treatment plans to ensure client goals and objectives are met.
- Provide direct support as needed under the supervision of medical and clinical staff.
- Utilize interpersonal skills and professional training to defuse volatile situations with clients with/if needed.
- Attend all professional meetings scheduled by CEO, Director, and/or Clinical Director
- Document and complete all client progress notes in RIGHT PATH RECOVERY, LLC database.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:
Valid high school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license and personal transportation. Proof of Fingerprint Clearance Card required. Proof of TB test. First/Aid CPR Certified. Adhere to regular UA testing. Minimum one year experience working with Adolescent Youth in behavior education. Knowledge of mental health, substance abuse and/or trauma. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to respond to emergencies, and work on weekends and holidays if/when possible.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Speaking, hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, bending, keyboarding, light lifting, driving, and writing.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health or health related field. A bachelor’s degree in any field, plus one year of work experience in behavioral health service delivery. A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) and a combination of behavioral health education and experience working with adolescent’s youth within a mental health agency totaling a minimum of four years.
