A TYPICAL DAY FOR YOU AT HH:
-
Serve clients from adult services and/or outpatient clinic and partners with clients to identify, develop and implement appropriate counseling goals into the outcome/treatment plan.
-
Provide individual or group counseling to individuals; support family and siblings as needed based on clients on caseload.

Collaborate with supervisor to maximize billing and client care and participate in formal supervision with supervisor at least monthly.
-
Maintain appropriate documentation for each counseling session.and strong, ethical documentation for all sessions and clients.
-
Assist in setting measurable outcomes with and on behalf of individuals requiring support to facilitate the fulfillment of their individual dreams, hopes, and desires.
-
Lay a foundation for support of personal growth based on Helping Hand’s standards of performance principle that each individual can grow in one or more personals dimensions: i.e., mental or emotional, and that he/she has abilities that can be maximized.

Provide consistent monitoring of individuals’ progress in treatment that is not compromised by competing loyalties or responsibilities.

Consistently promote the individuals’ personal development and quality of life in a manner that is determined by the individual in an environment conducive to: the qualities of freedom, individual rights, informed personal choice, and participation while recognizing that the conditions of least restrictive environment, optimal community integration and personal safety are of paramount importance.

Ensure the rights of clients are protected and services are provided to the highest level of quality.

Meet quality and compliance requirements as set forth by Helping Hand, DHS, IDPH, CARF and other pertinent regulations including the fulfillment of all necessary training requirements.

Work on a multidisciplinary team with other clinicians, serve as an active member of the care team for clients and attend client IDT meetings as needed.
-
Actively participate in agency committees such as Intake, HRC/BMC, etc. as assigned.

Maintain a regular work schedule along with being available and dependable during varying hours including evening and weekends in accordance with the position’s needs.

Complete documentation in a timely manner by meeting deadlines.

Other duties as assigned.
LAND THIS OPPORTUNITY BY HAVING:
-
Master's degree in counseling or social work.
-
Current, active, and unrestricted licensure in area of expertise in the state of Illinois; must either be Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
-
Ability to fulfill all necessary training requirements of the agency, including but not limited to crisis management (crisis management training includes de-escalation strategies and physical management techniques).
-
Proficient and comfortable with technology such as Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, etc.
-
1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
-
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
-
Exceptional problem-solving and time management skills.
-
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize multiple priorities as required.

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ongoing personal motor vehicle insurance.

Ability to maintain confidential information.
-
Ability to work independently as well as on a multidisciplinary team with OTs, SLPs, BCBAs, and mental health professionals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to assist clients/students, access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
-
The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Consistently position self to maintain files in file cabinets or assist clients/students.

The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The person in this position may encounter clients exhibiting physical aggression; must be comfortable working in periods of crisis and feel comfortable de-escalating individually or as a team.
SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

On-site position, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary range $60,000 - $75,000/year (exempt). Salary based on skills and experience.

Up to 8% annual bonus potential.
