As an Evaluator and Case Manager you will initially be trained as a DUI Evaluator. You will assess clients that have been arrested for DUI and/or refusals. The purpose of the evaluation is determine the clients' risks for reoffending. When appropriate you will make referrals to treatment and assist clients in selecting providers as well as completing all related administrative paperwork. The DUI evaluation is a risk assessment, that was customized from a SUD Psychosocial Assessment.
As a case manager you will provide appointments for clients in Special Supervision Services (SSS), a hardship driver's license program. All of the clients are required to remain abstinant, follow program requirements, and follow their driving restrictions. These appointments are similar to probation appointments, but have their own unique aspects.
The last service, our smallest program, is for Ignition Interlock (IID) violators. These appointments are brief interventions to assist the IID clients to stop their cycle of IID violations and assist them in completing their requirements.
