Summary Repair and maintain metalworking equipment as well as perform general factory and facility maintenance. This position full time, on-site position.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, & Authorities
· Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repair tasks
· Maintain and complete work orders as assigned
· Update and maintain PM records and spare parts list for equipment
· Organize and maintain the maintenance area, tools, and storage cabinets
· Troubleshoot equipment failures
· Support continuous improvement projects
· Perform building and ground maintenance not covered by outside contractors
· Understand and follow all Polymet Quality Management System (QMS) documents
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications and requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to do so.
Minimum:
· 5 years manufacturing maintenance experience
Preferred:
· 460/230 3 phase electrical distribution and motion control
· Experience with variable frequency drives
· Mechanical repair experience
· Experience operating a manual lathe, mill, and grinder
· Fabrication experience
· MIG welding experience
· PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi)
· 5s or 6s experience
Work Environment
The Maintenance Technician will be working in an open warehouse environment with exposure to various weather and temperature conditions.
