What you will enjoy doing\*
- You will work with a cooperative team that is eager to teach, learn, and understand how to use the best ideas or technology to solve recurring production issues
- You will learn the ins and outs of the mechanical components in a production environment with a focus on feedback controls and electrical troubleshooting
- You will spend most of your time on the production floor with some time spent in the office
- You will actively communicate with production to implement repairs and improvements during outage windows
- You will communicate with the team, provide updates, adjust timelines, and discuss open or resolved issues daily
- You will be required to wear a respirator occasionally
- You will attend training and train your teammates
What makes you great
- Associate degree required in relevant field of study. In lieu of degree, 5-7 years of direct controls related experience is required
- 2 - 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
- You should be familiar with industrial equipment such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), proximity switches, control valves, and pumps
- You also must have experience reading and understanding mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting ladder logic
- You should be willing to learn and understand the production process
- You should be familiar Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS, and documentation
- Experienced in working safely with hand tools
