Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
The League Education and Treatment Center is seeking a Coordinator of Peer Support Services (CPSS) to perform a variety of duties related to the oversight, development, and coordination of Peer Support Services. The Coordinator of Peer Support Services will provide supervision to the Family and Youth Peer Mentors team and will serve as a role model, advocate, and motivator for youth and families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist with development and expansion of peer support services.
- Provide weekly supervision and coaching to peer advocate/specialist workforce, as needed.
- Share personal experiences and identify skills, strengths, supports, and resources as it relates to the Peer workforce.
- Assist with onboarding new staff and volunteers.
- Promote utilization and education of wellness planning tools.
- Assist the Director of Outreach by participating in community events to promote Peer Services.
- Organize and schedule peer workforce activities.
- Coordinate scheduling of peer’s participation in team meetings to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor and ensure accurate and efficient documentation in appropriate files and databases in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor orientation of services for youth and family members.
- Develop and implement CQI methodology to ensure fidelity of Peer Services and grant objectives.
- Identify and track support linkages to community resources that support the youth services.
- Develop reporting systems Perform weekly fidelity review of all services rendered and prepare report to supervisor.
- Participating in routine fidelity checks with host sites and partner agencies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- NYS Peer Specialist Certification by an OMH-approved Certified Peer Specialist program, required.
- Credentialed Family Peer Advocate (FPA-C) or Credentialed Youth Peer Advocate
- (YPA-C), preferred.
- Licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LMSW, 1-2 years of direct clinical experience), preferred
- Strong knowledge of OMH peer services and Recovery Oriented Systems of Care.
- Skills in active listening, motivation, and awareness of self.
- Ability to supervise others in recovery-based skill development and interaction with consumers.
- Strong work ethic
- Experience with culturally diverse populations
- Must obtain Peer supervisor training certification within first 30 days of employment.
- Ability to navigate EHR, Microsoft Office, and Zoom.Availability to work flexible schedules.
