Join Our Team: Job Coach- Financial and Vocational Counselor
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

DBA Community Choices (CAI/CC) is seeking a dedicated Financial and Vocational Counselor to join our team. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in providing supportive services to substance-abusing women and their children, helping them navigate their journey towards self-sufficiency.
Position Overview:
As a Financial and Vocational Counselor, you'll be responsible for facilitating budgeting/money management and vocational skills groups, providing individual counseling, and connecting clients with educational and vocational resources. Your efforts will directly contribute to the quality programming and referral to essential resources needed to empower our clients to attain self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate budgeting/money management and vocational skills groups to ensure clients acquire essential financial and vocational skills.
- Provide individual counseling sessions to address clients' financial and educational/vocational needs.
- Develop and update curriculum to meet the evolving needs of clients.
- Assist clients in setting and achieving financial, educational, and vocational goals outlined in their Person-Centered Plan.
- Coordinate with external agencies and community resources to link clients to educational and vocational opportunities.
- Advocate for clients to ensure they receive necessary educational and vocational services.
- Monitor client progress towards financial and educational/vocational goals and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided and participate in monthly reporting and incident reporting as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a minimum of two years of experience; or Master's degree in Human Services with one year of experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.
- Valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and adequate auto insurance.
