Job Description: Human Resources Generalist
Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team! In this strategic role, you will play a key part in fostering a positive and productive work environment for employees across 12 dental practices located in New York and Connecticut. You will be responsible for a wide range of employee relations tasks, ensuring a smooth employee experience, PTO requests, payroll, policy creation, and education.
Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Partner with the Operations Manager, Local Supervisors, and administrators to address employee relations concerns, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Investigations: Conduct comprehensive employee relations investigations, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
- Policy Guidance: Provide expert guidance and interpretation of company policies and procedures to employees and managers.
- Leadership Advice: Advise leadership on best practices for employee engagement, retention, and dispute resolution.
- Recruitment: Lead recruitment efforts of medical staff and personnel.- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
- HR Initiatives: Participate in the development and implementation of HR initiatives designed to improve employee morale and satisfaction.
- Onboarding: Assist with the onboarding process for new hires across all locations.- Compliance: Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a generalist HR role, with a focus on employee relations.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment law and compliance regulations.- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems (a plus).
- Transportation: Must have a reliable form of transportation.
