Position Summary:
This temporary funded position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to contribute to impactful projects while gaining valuable experience in project management. As the Assistant Associate Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation and administration of funded projects, supporting the overall mission and goals of the institution in the Human Services Pathways. This role is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to make a meaningful impact while developing their skills in a dynamic environment.
Project Support and Implementation:
- Assist in the coordination and execution of project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives.
- Work with team on the development of materials, communications, and resources to facilitate effective project delivery.
- Participate in organizing events, and meetings related to the project.
- Travel to meeting destinations as required for each of the project grant deliverables.
Project Duties:
- Manage and maintain accurate records and documentation related to project activities, including participant data, project metrics, and financial expenditures.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for stakeholders, including funding agencies, institutional leadership, and project participants.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including participants, partners, and funders, to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Foster positive relationships with all stakeholders to enhance project effectiveness and support.
Evaluation and Reporting:
- Assist in the collection and analysis of data to evaluate project outcomes and impact.
- Support the preparation of evaluation reports that demonstrate project achievements and areas for improvement.
Financial Management:
- Help monitor the project budget, ensuring expenditures align with the funding requirements and institutional policies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation for funding agencies.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for project improvement and innovation.
- Support the implementation of best practices and process enhancements to optimize project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting.
- Proficiency in using office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or mental health field, public health, social services, or a related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project coordination, preferred in an educational or nonprofit setting. Experience with funded projects and knowledge of funding requirements and reporting preferred.
Work Environment/Travel:
This is a remote role. Travel will also be required to attend meetings and conferences.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This role does not have supervisory responsibility over staff.
Physical Demands: Able to sit, stand, and type for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to work irregular hours including after hours and weekends although this will be infrequent.
Position Type: This position is full-time. The hours may include weekends, nights and holidays.
