The Intake Manager (RN) position reviews care utilization of the in-patient-based substance abuse treatment facility clients. The Intake Manager is responsible for verifying and researching client insurance plans, evaluating benefits, managing multiple sources of information, scheduling appointments, conducting data entry, problem-solving, coordinating care, and providing quality customer service. Orders and reviews care coordination assessments, evaluations and plans of care in addition to performing telephonic care coordination follow-up. Communicates in writing or via phone with clients, family members, agents, physicians and discharge planners on eligibility requirements, policy benefits eligibility determinations and contract provisions. Communicates with claim department staff, agents and clients the different state licensing requirements for facilities and service providers.
- Assisting clients through the intake process in a complete, accurate and compassionate way.
- Effectively use multiple computer applications simultaneously.
- Accurately collect, verify, enter, and communicate client information.
- Updates and maintains accurate client documentation.
- Participates in community and internal activities.
- Communicates needed information respectfully and clearly with clients, providers, and staff.
- Abides by and has knowledge of agency confidentiality policies and HIPPA rules.
- Answers, services and documents all notice of claim calls pertaining to policy benefits
- Calls and verifies provider qualifications for policy benefits
- Coordinates initial assessment with client; identify type of assessment necessary and resource lists
- Reviews tax qualified certifications, assessment records and proof of loss to determine eligibility
- Processes documentation regarding eligibility within service requirements
- Creates correspondence needed pertaining to eligibility determination
- Monitors all follow-up assessments or plans of care, based on product type, diagnosis and eligibility
- Maintains established performance and conduct standards in accordance with organizational expectations
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
