Job Description:
Prepares all Medicaid claim types for Data Entry. This includes, opening, sorting, prepping, counting, and batching of claims and mail. Data Entry of all claim types timely and accurately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to key 10K – 12K keystrokes per hour
- Ability to function in a production-based team environment
- Ability to maintain 100% + of production standards
- Excellent attendance record
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft office products
- Knowledge of general office equipment (fax, copier, etc.)
Job Specific Skills/Essential Functions:
- Opens, sorts, prescreens, and scans all incoming claim types and mail.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time to pull, distribute, copy claims, or key.
- Keys, proofs, and corrects all Medicaid claim types
- Availability to cross-train on multiple tasks within the Claims Unit
- Perform various clerical tasks within the Claims Unit
