Title: Administrative Coordinator - CDGS

Location: Remote/Virtual - Must Live and Work in Michigan
Purpose: Under general supervision of Chief Government Relations Officer (CGRO), for MPHI (Michigan Public Health Institute), Center for Diversified Government Solutions (CDGS) the Administrative Coordinator will provide high-level administrative assistance and technical support for a wide range of activities to support the CGRO and Special Projects. A broad knowledge of office administration is needed to be successful in this position. The ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment is crucial. Strong leadership and organizational skills are required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support CGRO and Special Projects as assigned by providing administrative coordination.
- Schedule and prepare for meetings.
- Make logistical arrangements and attend meetings as a representative of CGRO.
- Take notes, track progress, conduct follow-up, track deadlines, etc.
- Ensure confidentiality of all information.
- Schedule and make logistical arrangements for monthly staff meetings. Schedule, coordinate technical support, etc.
- Participate in all required training.
- Support Human Resources Staff and Financial Staff as assigned.
- Uphold MPHI’s core values of authentic relationships, servant leadership, health equity and social justice, and quality and excellence.
- Maintain a positive, strong, credible, professional, and interpersonal relationship with all parties relevant to MPHI projects and always represent the best interests of MPHI.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required for this position.
Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in an office or other business setting, including regular contact with many people and progressive responsibility for administrative duties. Experience supporting HR (Human Resources) and Financial Staff.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Job may require moderate physical effort including lifting materials and equipment of <35# and involve viewing CRT or VDT screen 50 to 75% of the time. Standard office environment; may require occasional participation in off-site functions. May require valid vehicle operator’s license where needed to perform the duties of the position.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No assigned responsibility.
IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS: This position will ensure the smooth operation of the CDGS office and will provide support to MPHI employees. The Administrative Coordinator will always represent the Institute's best interests. Competent performance in this position has a substantial impact on the integrity and professional reputation of MPHI, including meeting the needs of MPHI clients in a timely manner, maintaining professional relationships, and enhancing the potential for future contracts with clients.
