Peak Performance Institute is looking for a medical front office assistant that is friendly, reliable and efficient. They should able to work well independently and with our team. They are responsible for being the first point of contact as patients come into our office. They greet patients, collect patient information, answer any questions, schedule appointments, and verify insurance information. They will oversee and execute everyday administrative tasks to ensure that the medical office runs smoothly and successfully. They need a good knowledge of medical insurances. They are able to multi-task and can handle a high volume of patient calls while handling check in/out duties. They should have good organizational skills and attention to details.
Skills and Training:
High School Graduate/equivalent (medical assistant training helpful) Medical Receptionist experience (Preferred) Customer Service experience (Preferred) Bilingual (English and Spanish Required)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Courteously check-in and check-out patients with a caring attitude.
- Able to verify insurance and collect appropriate co-payments.
- Schedule and confirm appointments.
- Maintain and update the schedule as needed.
- Create and maintain patient charts, ensure you have up-to-date information.
- Keep the front office neat and orderly to maintain our high standards.
- Follow all HIPPA regulations, keep patient personal and financial information confidential.
- Anticipate and respond positively to changing conditions.
- Ability to stay focused on what needs to be accomplished while under pressure.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively and kindly with patients.
- Maintain inventory and make copies as needed.
- Send patient reports to various doctors requesting records.
- Other duties as assigned to assist with the overall function of your position.
- Accurately entering patient and insurance information
- Distinguish primary insurance vs secondary insurance
- Become familiar with Medicaid/AHCCCS-Medicare-Commercial Ins/-Medicare Replacement Plans and many commercial insurance plans and coverages.

- Monday to Friday 7:40 am to 5:00pm.
- Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (depending upon experience)
