SwingSetMall.com is a family-owned business that has been selling swing set parts, accessories, and complete play structures online across the USA for more than 20 years. Our business continues to thrive, especially in our niche of selling parts for playgrounds. We operate in a spacious office and warehouse in Bremerton.
For this position, we are seeking an honest, reliable, hard-working individual to assist with customer service and data entry work for our company. The individual we hire must have good people skills, be a willing and quick learner, and fit in well with the current culture and employees of the company. Position Responsibilities
SwingSetMall.com prides itself on providing excellent customer service. This sets us apart from our competition and much of the retail industry as a whole. We are looking for someone with a friendly and outgoing attitude who can assist our customer service manager in order to ensure our customers receive the proper attention they deserve.
This person must have good people skills and be able to work well with customers over the phone, via email, and live chat. This sometimes requires a patient temperament. We always treat our customers with kindness and respect. We want every customer to remember their interaction with us as a positive experience and leave feeling like we gave them the attention they deserved and gave them truly helpful answers.
Our customer service team assists customers with product related questions, taking orders over the phone, and resolving issues related to orders, shipping, and products.
Another aspect of the job is helping our company to stay organized by assisting with the paperwork flow of invoices, statements, receipts, etc. We have a mostly digitized process for record-keeping. This person must be highly organized with excellent computer skills and knowledge, and be able to pay close attention to detail to catch errors and enter data correctly.
The job will consist of routine daily tasks such as tracking number updates, reviewing sales orders, setting up tax exemptions for customers, etc.
This position will assist with customer service needs in the following areas:
- Handling customer inquiries via phone, email and live chat about products, shipping status, ordering, etc.
- Reaching out to customers about any issues with their orders
- Processing customer orders over the phone
- Occasional sales work providing quotes for customers
- Processing returns
- Ongoing paper and digital filing
- Entering tracking numbers on orders
- Emailing shipping updates to customers
- Checking for errors on invoices, sales orders, etc.
- Processing shipping claims for lost packages
- Data entry into an accounting program
- Hand-writing short thank you notes on postcards for orders
As the business continues to grow, there may be other opportunities for the Customer Service Assistant to help with various other tasks, so a wide skill set is a definite plus! Requirements

Job Wage & 401K
Starting hourly wage will be $17/hr with periodic performance-based raises.
Employees with us at least one year are eligible for our 401k matching program and have access to accrued vacation/PTO.

- Paid Vacation -- 1 hour of leave accrued for every 40 hours worked during first year (access starts after one year worked); 1.54 hours of leave accrued for every 40 hours worked after three years; 2.31 hours of leave accrued for every 40 hours worked after 5 years.
- Paid Sick Leave -- Vacation hours double as sick leave and can be used after 90 days of employment for health reasons per WA state requirements.
- 401k Match -- Qualify for a 4% match 401k program after one year of continuous employment.

Days/Hours
During our busy season (now and annually March-August) hours will be between 28-32 per week and 5 days per week.
A minimum of 20 hours/week guaranteed during slower months (September-February) but will typically be more.
Initial days/hours to start: Monday, 8am-4pm. Tuesday-Friday, 10am-4pm.
Throughout the year, the weekly schedule will vary (usually adjusted on a monthly basis depending on current workload).
The customer service team consists of two people, so you would work together to cover each other's shifts as needed for vacation and other time off.
