Tropex is looking for a Customer Service Manager (CSM) who will manage our growing Boca Raton division. In Boca Raton we are also known as Botanica Interior Plant Services. Tropex is a leader in the area for interior plantscaping. We lease, sell, and maintain live plants to mostly commercial clients around the area. Tropex is a 40 year old company that has other branches located around Central and Southern Florida.
The CSM will be involved in interviewing, hiring, motivating, coaching and overseeing employees’ performance and improvement. They will also cultivate customer relationships by proactive on site client visits, current, new, and potential, to help create beautiful work environments using live plants.
Job Functions include:
-Oversee Quality Assurance Program, (tech performance pay program PPP) Monitor performance improvements.
-Review new account books and visit new accounts within 1 week of installation and perform first service. Visit Client accounts on a pre-determined regular basis to access client needs and build relationships.
-Handle all client inquires, additions to accounts, deletions for accounts, canceling accounts, old account upgrades, design changes, inventories and negotiations after installation, including billing and public relations. Handle all accounts moving and relocating, temporary construction pulls, tented buildings, etc.
-Respond to potential new clients (sales) to help create new plant design layouts and work with the owner and/ or operations manager for pricing within the company structure.
-Track contract renewals and re-sign contracts for those few accounts that do not automatically renew.
-Coordinate with Service Supervisor as needed daily to review any situations which may require immediate attention such as accounts not serviced, customer complaints, additions and deletions, etc. Meet with Service Supervisor to discuss goals, problems and progress in the department.
-Organize monthly tech meetings to discuss various issues, suggest ways to improve the efficiency of routing plant replacements and service time at accounts.
-Coordinate with Office Manager collecting outstanding receipts for material and services rendered when needed. Review and coordinate accounts outstanding balance (collections) with Office Manager.
-Purchasing of inventory needs for the division.
-Requires extensive driving on a daily basis to visit clients
Qualifications:
-Valid Florida Drivers License
-Organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Ability to drive vans and passenger vehicles (required 7 years clean driving record).
-Result oriented and able to work both independently and as a team member.
-Associates degree or higher in business or equivalent years of experience.
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Ability to communicate effectively with customer, management and coworkers
Preferred Experience/Skills:
-Gardening or horticultural work, which involves plant maintenance; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
-Knowledge of botany or horticulture, or agriculture, or plant maintenance techniques.
-A flair and creativity for design using plants and other materials.

-Use of hands to finger, handle or feel frequently over 2/3 of day

Working Conditions:
-Moderate - less than 85 decibels (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic, riding in a vehicle.
Occasionally:
-Wet or humid conditions (we work with plants)
-Work in high, precarious places
-Outdoor weather conditions, rain, heat
-Required to wear gloves, eye protection
