Board Certified Plastic Surgeon seeking a medical receptionist/scheduling
coordinator.

You must be versed on the different surgeries / procedures our Surgeon performs when patients call to schedule consultations.
You must be patient and enjoy speaking to people for as long as necessary to ensure they have a clear understanding of how the appointment will take place and what will follow.

You must possess a background in medical scheduling, HIPPA compliance, and EMR systems and exemplary customer service.
Your Personal Appearance must be important to you. If it takes you 10 minutes or less to get ready for work, this is not the place for you.
Responsibilities Include:
On your typical day you are greeting patients and visitors upon arrival in a friendly, professional and enthusiastic manner, while maintaining an orderly reception area. You are also doing all of the following;
You are responsible for accurately collecting and maintaining HIPPA protected patient information in our EMR System.
You are responsible to continually update this information.
You are responsible for accurately documenting and relaying patient messages to ensure quality service standards are met.
You are responsible for following all office protocol and standards regarding all communication and organizational standards. Maintaining patient privacy by keeping all patient communications HIPPA protected.
You are responsible for collecting patient fees and assisting with various other office duties.
Required Skills:
You must have the desire to learn about all aspects of Plastic Surgery. You must have the ability to learn everything we do and offer to patients, and how to accurately schedule appointments based on the different appointment types.
You must have a friendly and outgoing personality and enjoy talking and smiling.
You must possess Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills.
You must be Highly proficient in your computer skills and specifically very comfortable using an EMR.
You must have the ability to gather and record information with complete accuracy.
You must have the ability to multitask and accurately track your completed tasks.
You must have the ability to lead others who will look to you for guidance.
You must be able to prioritize and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
You must be detail oriented and be able to work well with others in a team setting.
You must possess a strong level of Customer Service.
You must have the ability to take and follow specific instruction and direction.
You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum of 3 years of previous experience within a medical setting (Required).
Associates Degree (Preferred).
High School Diploma (Required).
