JOB TITLE: PROGRAM COORDINATOR - Gallup SASNWNM
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS (Farmington Office)
FULL TIME: 40 hours per week, plus some weekend and evenings involved
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide coordination and oversight of the SAS office in Gallup, NM. Provide supervision to the direct services program staff, including advocacy, prevention education and the SANE program. Build and maintain community collaborations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain a full-time presence in the office.
· Monitor and complete all grant requirements, reporting and project components.
· Supervise the Gallup Victim Advocates, Prevention Educators and SANE nurses.
· Ensure all client contact data is entered into the Vela database.
· Co-facilitate the McKinley County Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Task Force.
· Co-Facilitate the McKinley County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART).
· Provide on-going education about sexual assault and services in the community.
· Develop and distribute a quarterly newsletter.
· Maintain a list of donations received by the agency.
· Adhere to all employment personnel policies and procedures.
· Participate in the upkeep and cleaning of the office areas.
· Attend regular supervision with the Director of Programs.
· Other duties as assigned by the Director of Programs.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Background in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or other related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Knowledge of sexual assault, trauma and survivor healing dynamics
· Case management experience
· Experience supervising staff and programs
· Experience with program development and management
· Experience/working knowledge of child development and abuse issues, ability to work with diverse groups of people, excellent oral and written communication skills, meeting facilitation skills, organizational skills; ability to take initiative and work independently; excellent follow through; working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
· Experience with diverse cultures, specifically Native American, Immigrant and Latino/Chicano, LGBTQ+ and homeless constituents
· 40-Hour Sexual Assault Advocacy training is required (may occur after hire)
· A minimum of twenty (20) hours ongoing training per year related to target population may include NMCSAP, CSVANW, VOCA, or VAWA training
