We currently have an opportunity for an experienced detailed oriented Sr. Staff Accountant to join our organization.
Job Summary
The Senior Staff Accountant position plays a lead role in all accounting functions for IMB including but not limited to month-end closing responsibilities journal entries and account reconciliations, expense analysis, financial reporting, the fulfillment of annual audit requests, and other accounting support and ad hoc requests. Successful candidate will be a key player for finance during NetSuite implementation. This role reports directly to the Corporate Controller and works cross-functionally throughout the organization to help maintain, revise, and develop key financial procedures. The Senior Staff Accountant should be comfortable in applying accounting principles, concepts, theories, and techniques in conducting their daily tasks and assignments. Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close: Responsibilities include the preparation and posting of journal entries, analytics, reporting, and reconciliations
Inventory: Lead annual physical inventory audit and develop standard protocols for recording; and maintaining month-end inventory balances and analyzing variances
Fixed Assets: Maintain all subledger supporting documentation and calculations
Banking & Regulatory: Prepare required filings and maintain documents
Internal Controls: Monitor effectiveness and drive efficiency through continuous improvement with a focus on streamlining processes
Tax: Ensure filings deadlines are completed timely and act as company liaise
Budget/Forecast: Participate in the annual budgeting process
General: Provide financial insight and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team through various ad-hoc reports and analysis
General: Serve as a business partner across the organization
General: Other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills
Minimum 3 years experience in Accounting (public/manufacturing experience preferred)
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Advance Excel skills, user should be proficient with manipulating large sources of data and producing meaningful end-user reports
Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Ability to perform job functions and multitask with minimal supervision
Proficient with other Microsoft Office and ERP systems
Excellent attention to details
Consumer goods/products experience considered a plus
Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field;
