We are a high-end, full-service catering company based out of Concord, MA. Before applying, take note that we are looking for candidates who possess off-site catering management experience and who are EXTREMELY detail-oriented. Days and hours change from week-to-week.
Job Summary: The Catering Operations Assistant/ Events Manager supports the Owner in the day-to-day activities of the catering company. This role involves coordinating various operational tasks, ensuring smooth logistics, managing inventory, and assisting with event planning and the successful execution of events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Support:
- Schedule and managing staff shifts for all jobs.
- Support the hiring and onboarding process of new employees.
- Pack/Unpack all Events:
- Place orders with suppliers and manage deliveries or pick ups of ordered items or desserts.
- Pick up floral, dessert orders, leaves, beverage items as needed for each event
- Use Pack list to fill out what’s needed for each event.
- Pack out all items necessary for each event
- Pack: Passing tray items, Buffet and dessert pieces, serving pieces, bar supplies, Coffee/tea pack, Kitchen box, Admin box
- Stage buffet and dessert setups in warehouse.
- Unpack all bins from events; including any cleaning if necessary
- Replenish Kitchen Box after each event.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lb. bins.
- Logistics and Transportation:
- Coordinate transportation of food and equipment to event locations.
- Ensure catering truck and equipment are well-maintained and operational.
- Loading and unloading of catering truck for all events.
- Warehouse Maintenance:
- Keeping warehouse clean and organized
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies, and equipment. See supplies list or scan office for reorders.
- Place orders with suppliers and manage deliveries and/or pick-ups
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
- Event Coordination:
- Assist in the planning and execution of catering events.
- Manage events from beginning to end (optional 6-8 hours a week)
- Coordinate logistics, including delivery, setup, serving, and cleanup.
- Communicate with clients to confirm event details and requirements.
- Ensure all events are executed flawlessly and on time
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors.
Qualifications:
College Degree.
Off site catering management experience in front of the house, back of the house.
Must be highly detail oriented.
High food I.Q.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
