Requirements:
The non-AWS CAPEX FBI team is looking for an individual to be a superstar owner of our fleet programs related Fixed Asset and Lease automations. This position supports and can directly influence the launches of Amazon’s global business initiatives related to process improvement in the CAPEX and Fleet Management space.
Successful candidates will have deep experience in the following three disciplines – Accounting, Program Management and Finance Systems. Candidate experience should cover financial processes, project management, accounting requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing responsibilities.
Several components of this role includes the following:
- Project launches, global expansions, system integrations, process automations
- Operational Accounting Experience, ideally related to fixed and leased assets
- Eager to work on ambiguous projects without a defined process
- Able to work independently and take ownership of data accuracy
- Cross-functional finance/accounting automation projects
- Test design and execution, Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Program Manager experience (5+ years), dealing with global stakeholders within the Finance/Accounting space
- Preferred candidate would be interested in FTE conversion
In addition to the skills outlined above, this individual will also be required to:
- Maintain consistent ownership of scheduling working/review meetings, involving coordination between multiple EAs, calendar, and potentially time zones. In addition, this role would be expected to organize minutes of the meetings (attendees, action items, timelines, conclusions, and feedback/comments.)
- Facilitate completion of follow-ups and conversations, such as drafting communication, organizing inputs and approvals, etc.
- Drive ownership of team accountability for project tracking and metrics (through tools such as Asana and Workfront.)
- Own organizing data gathering exercising and its aggregation.
- Establish a repository and organizing the information structure for the team. This could entail (but not limited to) ensuring a centralized location for team working files, document sharing, and collaborative files. As an extension, this role would also help centralize the knowledge of multiple team members into a unified format, helping retain knowledge and deep-dive learning.
Basic qualifications:
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules
