In this position, you will work directly with patients and their families, helping people with terminal diseases. In addition to helping patients eat, bathe and move around, the Home Health Aide provides a caring presence in the home. As care aides have frequent contact with the patient and family members, they can develop a deep appreciation for the importance of end-of-life care.
Responsibilities:
- Have a general understanding of palliative medicine and hospice care.
- Provide health care services in patients residences.
- Perform domestic tasks.
- Monitor patients (vital signs, tempature, respiration, etc) and report on their condition.
- Familitary with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
