The role:
With the opening of first store in Factoria, Washington, we are looking for a Finance and Accounting Associate (Senior Inventory Control Associate) to join us onsite at our retail store as the Finance stakeholder to all departments. This role will report to the Financial Accounting Manager and act as finance support for retail store departments. The role is responsible for overseeing and reconciling AR / AP data and transactions while maintaining accurate store inventory records in both quantities and dollar amounts.
This role will be full time with 40 hours a week. There will be one day of each weekend (Saturday or Sunday) that is required. This role will have a start time between 9AM to 10AM and an end time of 6PM to 7PM. The 10AM to 7PM is the preferred schedule.
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of invoices & documents to comply with all applicable store inventory receipts requirements
- Monitor receiving transactions and perform itemized data entry of trade/supplies invoices
- Update stores’ inventory costs and quantities
- Maintain an accurate record of store inventory receipts transactions
- Verify that incoming invoices with proper stores’ authorization comply with internal A/P requirements
- Stay current with different inventory control practices and system changes
- Support and coach Inventory control associate to complete tasks assigned efficiently and effectively
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in finance and accounting, inventory control, supply chain position
- Post-secondary education in accounting or related field is an asset
- General knowledge and understanding in accounting
- Able to communicate in English and ability to speak Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin) an asset
- Computer skills with Enterprise Information System (training will be provided) and Microsoft office suite
- Data entry skills and produce work with a high level of accuracy
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously; meticulous with a strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced office environment with minimum supervision and deal with complexity
- Able to handle confidential information professionally and in an ethical manner
- Demonstrates a keen sense of urgency and commitment to follow up and meet multiple deadlines without compromising work quality
