System Automations Specialist
Having a strong background on boilers, chillers, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, with both electronic and pneumatic controls. Candidate will operate, maintain and program building automation system (BAS). Ensure HVAC equipment is operated efficiently and to create a comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff through program, startup, and commission, and integrate commercial HVAC control systems. Develop building automation system front end solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Read and understand HVAC equipment sequence of operations. Understand sequence intent in the given application.
- Read and understand project drawings and specifications.
- Apply given sequence of operations to “block and wire” programs.
- Engineer control system Siemens’s Talon BACnet DDC System with a Tridium N4 Webserver
- Verify functionality of sensors and actuators and address any issues that may arise.
- Advanced networking experience for BacNet, TCP/IP, ModBus, N2 and other applicable protocol
- Ensure all HVAC components and system are functioning as originally designed to allow for maximum energy efficiencies.
- Assist with construction/remodel plan review of upcoming projects of the HVAC systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Controls Technician for Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems (CHW VAV AHUs, VAV Terminal Boxes, Central CHW Systems, and OR Room pressurization) will be responsible for completing service calls under the direction of department management.
- Read & review control specifications and diagrams.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust.
- While performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time, and lift up to 50 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of experience in the controls field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
- Tridium AX or N4 Certification recommended or previous experience with DDC, PLC or similar Ladder-Logic programming.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem solving skills.
- Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. ACHA, criminal history).
- Must be available and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned, to include working varying schedules that may require extended hours and require client-specific safety standards.
- Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
