As a Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality and efficiency of process-related instrumentation and equipment in both industrial and municipal settings. Your responsibilities will include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of instrumentation, as well as communicating effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to uphold service excellence. Your ability to interpret schematics, utilize electrical multimeters, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude will be vital to your success in this role. Additionally, a commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to adapt to evolving industry standards are essential traits for success in this dynamic position.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot process-related instrumentation and supporting equipment at industrial and municipal environments.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot installed instrumentation to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Calibrate instrumentation and analytical equipment according to manufacturer specifications to ensure accurate performance.
- Maintain effective communication with customers and internal partners to understand and meet customers' expectations.
- Generate detailed field reports documenting work performed, calibration results, and recommendations for future maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics for assembly, repair, and reassembly of equipment.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to continuously improving output, quality, and delivery of service.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned to support team objectives and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in using electrical multimeters for diagnostic purposes.
- Familiarity with various types of instrumentation, including pressure, level, and flow measurement devices.
- Understanding of basic control devices such as relays, wiring techniques, etc.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on tasks effectively.
